Day #2: February 2nd

The Wild Life of My Life:

This week I have seen a variety of wildlife. As every week I have seen an assortment of birds. I notice birds all the time now that I am working with a peregrine falcon for my senior project. We have seagulls and black birds all over my high school campus. Near the hatchery there are many finches and sparrows, along with a variety of other species. When I arrived at my friends house in Penngrove after dark I heard the screeching of an owl near by. I couldn't locate it in the dark though. Also, once inside her house I saw her pet gold  fish whole is half white and half orange.
Along with domestic wildlife, I have seen my dog Montana. Cows, horses, sheep, goats, and llamas while driving around town. One night this week, Jade and I watched 101 Dalmatians which was filled with domesticated wildlife such as dogs, cats, and horses.
Not only have I seen living and domesticated wildlife, but i have seen a variety of taxidermy wildlife. At the hatchery on campus our class room and visitors center is littered with taxidermy animals. We have a variety of salmonid fish species such as steel head trout. We also have a large amount of birds such as a Golden eagle, a Bald eagler and her two chicks, Canadian Geese, Mallards, an Osprey, and a few smaller birds I do not know the name of. Along with these majestic animals we have two large bears; a polar bear and a grizzly bear. The walls are also painted in a beautiful Alaskan scene. Ever time I enter this classroom I am over whelmed with wildlife.
